The Beach Road

To the casual eye, teenagers jane and Beverley are opposites. Beautiful and clever, Beverley seems to have everything the world has to offer, while disturbed and lonely Jane has just seen her mother die in appalling circumstances, and has come to live with her grandparents in the same small town as Beverley- Underlyme in Dorset, by the sea.

But Beverley's lifeisn't so perfect after all. Behind the glossy facade, it's anything but. And when somethingterrible happens to her, she finds ther's no one to turn to- except Jane. Jane is overwhelmed that this golden girl should pay her any attention and at first Beverley anjoys the adoration. Until gradually she realises there is something different about Jane, something very dark indeed...
